The GAIA Training of Trainers on Transdisciplinary Approaches, held in Bangkok from 7–10 September 2026, brought together researchers, educators, and practitioners from across Asia to strengthen practical skills for transdisciplinary capacity building. Organised under the APN GAIA Project (CBA2025-03MY-Lambino) and hosted by the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, the four-day programme combined conceptual learning with hands-on exercises, simulations, peer feedback, and collaborative training design. Participants developed and refined their own transdisciplinary training plans, exploring inclusive participation, power dynamics, knowledge integration, facilitation, evaluation, and follow-up. The training also strengthened regional connections and laid the foundations for a network of transdisciplinary trainers and educators.
