Dr Chuluun Togtoh is the Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development at the National University of Mongolia. His research addresses sustainability, adaptation and green development of social-ecological systems at local, national, regional and global scales. He also studied rangeland ecosystems and pastoral social-ecological systems in Mongolia extensively. Dr Chuluun proposed the inclusion of carbon dioxide emission per capita in the Human Development Index, publishing his research in Nature. He is one of the authors of the “Review of the Sustainable Development Goals: The Science Perspective” by the ICSU and ISSC.
