Ngo Thuy Diem Trang

Ngo Thuy Diem Trang completed her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Putra Malaysia and her doctoral degree from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. She is a permanent senior lecturer at the Department of Environmental Sciences, the College of Environment and Natural Resources Management (CENREs), Can Tho University (CTU). She got a number of international grants and also national grants to conduct research in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam with the focus on the ecophysiology of aquatic and terrestrial plants in relation to growth conditions. Applied aspects of the research involve the use of natural and constructed wetlands for the treatment of various kinds of polluted water and mainly focus on recirculating aquaculture systems. She has more than 18 years of experience in constructed wetland projects for water pollution control in the tropics. She has also participated in and chaired many projects related to ecology, environment, community livelihoods, and relevant studies on water resources protection. She has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
