Dr Md. Nasif Ahsan is currently working as a Professor of Economics at Khulna University, Bangladesh. Currently, he is also the Dean of Social Science School of the same university. Dr Ahsan received his PhD from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo and he also worked at International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management (ICHARM) under the auspices of UNESCO, Tsukuba, Japan. Dr Ahsan has accomplished a number of research projects in coastal Bangladesh in collaboration with different national and international agencies on diverse socio-ecological issues of climate change and disaster risk reduction.
