Ria Lambino

Research Institute for Humanity and Nature

Dr. Ria Lambino graduated from the University of the Philippines in 1996 with a Bachelor degree in Applied Physics. She received a Master’s degree in Environmental Management in 2011 and her PhD degree in Global Environmental Studies in 2014, both from the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies,  Kyoto University, Japan.

Dr. Ria Lambino as spent most of her professional career as a practitioner and researcher focusing on environmental conservation and sustainability, with significant experience in the Philippines and in Japan. Her research interests include transdisciplinary, environmental policy and governance, protected areas & management, renewable energy, water issues, sustainable agriculture & fisheries and sustainable consumption and production.

Currently, she is Deputy Director of Future Earth Japan Global Secretariat Hub, Head of Head, International Engagement Unit, Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, Kyoto Japan and coordinating leadership in Future Earth Global Program.
