Livestock is the sector that accounts for a large proportion in the economy and is the second largest GHGs emission sector in the agricultural activities in Vietnam. Development of biogas model, particularly at medium and large scale, is a solution for the environmental issues in the context of depleted fuel sources and climate change. This study presents an analysis of the potential for biogas application on pig waste treatment in Vietnam. Barriers to this technology development are also assessed and feedback measures are proposed accordingly.
