Ph.D. students or early career researchers from developing countries will be sponsored by the APN to attend the Summer School in 2005. The School is a key part of SOLAS’s capacity building as it trys to achieve quantitative understanding of the key biogeochemical-physical interactions and feedbacks between the ocean and atmosphere, and of how this coupled system affects and is affected by climate and impart the skills and multi-disciplinary knowledge needed to understand the role of ocean-atmosphere interactions in global change; environmental change.
