Yoshikazu Sasai

Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology

Dr Sasai is a Senior Scientist at the Japan Agency for Marine‐Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). He has more than 12 years of research where he examines the impacts of physical processes on the biogeochemical cycle and marine ecosystem using an eddy‐resolving physical‐biological model, especially, in the western boundary currents (Kuroshio, Japan) and tropical and subtropical oceans (Eastern Tropical Pacific and the South China Sea etc.). He also focuses on the several temporal and spatial scales of biological variability in the Kuroshio region with observation, model and satellite data.
