Professor Xiaoxia SUN, is currently working as the director of Jiaozhou Bay Marine Ecosystem Research Station, CAS, the deputy director of Key Laboratory of Marine Ecology and Environmental Sciences, CAS, and a professor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Her research interests include marine plankton, microplastics, marine ecological risk, marine ecosystem health assessment. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and 4 monographs as the major author. She is currently a member of the China SCOR committee, the Executive Committee of International Associate of Biological Oceanography (IABO), and the Capacity Development Committee of SCOR.
