Dr. Wilfredo M. Carandang was a Professor at the Institute of Renewable Natural Resources within the College of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. He formerly served as a chairperson of the Task Force on Soil and Vegetation Monitoring and a member of the Task Force on Research Coordination at the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network for East Asia in Japan. His expertise spans plantation forestry, forest and landscape restoration, agroforestry, and forest tree improvement.
