Dr Wikke Novalia is a Research Fellow at Monash Sustainable Development Institute with expertise in environmental governance. She also had engineering and research experience in the water industry across Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, the Netherlands and Australia. Her research investigates the interplay of environment, technology and society to improve planning, governance, and community participation for sustainable development. She was involved in an urban water research program in Jakarta and Bogor and is co-developing action research in Citarum, Indonesia. She is a co-investigator in research on legal pathways for indigenous water rights and research on Water-Energy-Food Nexus.
