Dr Tshering Ongmu Sherpa serves as a Programme Officer for Scientific Affairs and Knowledge Management at the APN Secretariat. In this role, she leads the Collaborative Regional Research Programme (CRRP) and contributes to strengthening the capacity of early-career professionals to champion regional research through opportunities such as the APN Proposal Development Training Workshops (PDTWs). She also provides coordination support for the management and monitoring of knowledge products generated through APN-funded activities.

She holds a doctoral degree in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University, Japan. She has gained internship experience with various UN organisations, including UNFCCC, UNESCAP, and UN-Habitat ROAP, assisting regional and international initiatives in sustainable urban development and climate-related capacity building, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.
