Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Diep is an Advanced Senior Lecturer at the College of Environment and Natural Resources at Can Tho University. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Cantho University and a Ph.D. degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. She is an expert and is responsible for the research in RS and GIS applications in Land use Land cover changes, Greenhouse Gas Emissions on Landuse/Land cover, Ecosystem System Services, Disaster Management in Flooding and River/Coastal Erosion, Climate Change Impacts in the Lower Mekong Delta, and Ecological Environmental Quality She has worked on the projects of SEARCA SFRT, (the Philippines), CTU-JICA collaboration, ACIAR, EPSRC fund and Researcher Links grant (UK), UKRI GCRF project, UNEP (South East Asia) and GEBA project. She has has extensive collaboration network with the Vietnam Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association, the Network of EU Alumni (Vietnamese), the Vietnamese SAR community, and the Departments of Environmental Resources and Agriculture in the Lower Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
