Susmita Mishra is currently a Research Associate at the Center of Research for Environment, Energy and Water (CREEW). She holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology. With a proven track record in leadership and coordination, she has successfully led multidisciplinary teams across national, regional, and international projects. Susmita also serves as an Operations Associate with the Climate Champions Team, where she supports the acceleration of global climate ambition. Previously, at the World Meteorological Organization, she contributed to administrative operations and partnership development for the youth pillar of the Water and Climate Coalition (WCC), reflecting her commitment to empowering young voices in climate and water initiatives. In addition, she holds the position of Global Focal Point for the United International Federation of Youth (UN1FY), where she advocates for youth representation in global water and climate agendas.
Over the years, Susmita has cultivated expertise in stakeholder engagement, international youth network management, strategic communication, and operational leadership. Her contributions have been integral to the success of six national conferences and seven youth events at major UN conferences, including COP26, COP27, COP28, COP29, and the 2023 UN Water Conference.
