Razak Zakariya

Dr. Razak Zakariya is a researcher at the Faculty of Science and Marine Environment at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, specialising in the application of remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and SONAR. Dr Zakariya’s current research focuses on marine habitat mapping for fisheries resources using multibeam eco-sounder, the determination of Net Primary Productivity (NPP) for ocean surface water and seabed mapping. He has more than 14 years’ experience as a lecturer and research supervisor for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Zakariya was previously the Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies & Research) and Head of Department of Marine Science.
