Since last 30 years he is in the field of community development. He is actively associated with several National /international development agencies & media houses in different capacity such as, Volunteer, Organiser, Facilitator, Researcher, Trainer, Evaluator, Editor, Content Advisor etc. He has led more than 5000 youths from different districts in Odisha and trained them on active citizenship. Most of them are now actively working in more than 200 blocks of Odisha. He is currently National Advisor of Community Radio Association, India, Executive Director of Asia Centre for Development Communication & Research, President of Ngo “Young India”, Chairperson of Radio Namaskar. For contribution in the field of Community Development he has been awarded many times by the Govt. & other agencies. Few of them are National Youth Award (1990-2000, Govt. of India), Indira Gandhi NSS Award (1996-97, Govt. of India), International Community Participation Award from YOMO CIC, UK. •US Legislative Fellow 2016.
