Manivanh Suyavong

Gender Development Association

Manivanh Suyavong is a Laotian development leader with over 20 years of experience championing gender equality and community resilience. While her International Executive master’s in development studies from the Graduate Institute, Geneva, Switzerland provided a strong foundation, her true expertise lies in her extensive work with the Gender Development Association (GDA) and Oxfam in Laos.

Manivanh has served as a facilitator and speaker for the Lao Australia Leadership programs, spearheaded community-based development projects, and championed gender mainstreaming, community resilience, and gender impact assessment in water governance. Her leadership extends beyond projects, as she has built strong working relationships with key members of Ministries, the Lao Women’s Union, and Youth’s Union.

Manivanh’s impact transcends individual projects. She has led GDA team in strategic planning and implemented complex programs in remote areas, empowering diverse communities, including multi-ethnic groups. Through her dedication and expertise, Manivanh has fostered gender equality, built resilience, and inspired positive change across Laos.
