Jose Nestor M. Garcia is an Associate Professor of the Agricultural Systems Institute, College of Agriculture and Food Science, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He holds a PhD in Environmental Science from UPLB, a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Systems from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Bukidnon. Dr. Garcia is the current Director of the Institute of Agroforestry, College of Forestry and Natural Resources. He has vast experience in agricultural research (soil fertility, farming systems), community development works, environmental research, systems modelling. His recent works were geared towards technology development for biofuel crop (Jatropha) and feed crop (Xanthosoma), climate change vulnerability assessment, and adaptations.
