Jianfeng Li

Prof Jianfeng Li is an Associate Professor and RGC Research Fellow in the Department of Geography and Resource Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Sun Yat-sen University and his Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His major research interests include hydroclimatology, environmental change, and water hazards, focusing on climate change impacts on hydrological processes and regional environment, especially hydrological and climatic extremes. He has published extensively in top-tier journals, including Nature Climate Change, PNAS, and Journal of Hydrology. His outstanding research productivity and achievements have been recognized by the prestigious Heywood Young Scientists Award from Hong Kong Meteorological Society, and the Research Fellow Scheme of Hong Kong Research Grants Council. He is an associate editor of Hydrological Processes and Frontiers in Earth Science, and has been active in serving various professional communities.
