Currently a research fellow at the Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore. Dr Jay Quevedo obtained his doctoral degree at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University. He is a transdisciplinary scientist working at the science and policy interface of blue carbon ecosystems (BCEs). He has been working on the social and policy science aspects of BCEs in the Philippines and Indonesia using mixed-method approaches such as perception surveys, GIS applications, and quantitative analyses. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles about his research on BC and, recently, has been involved in the development of the blue carbon roadmap by the Innovation for Cool Earth Forum (ICEF). His main research interests are community perceptions of BCE services, BCE as nature-based solutions, and BCEs management.
