Ir Dr Hidayah is a Senior Lecturer in Dam Safety & Flood Evaluation at the Institute of Energy Infrastructure & Engineering Department, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia and Secretary of the Malaysian National Committee on Large Dams (MYCOLD). She is a member of the Young Professional Forum (YPF) of the International Commission of Large Dams (ICOLD). She is currently a representative of YPF at the ICOLD Technical Committee for Public Awareness and Education. She graduated from Universiti Tenaga Nasional in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering). She started her career as a Researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Technology and Environment (CSTEN), UNITEN later on as Research Engineer at UNITEN R&D Sdn Bhd until 2011. Ir Dr Hidayah graduated with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 2011 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering in 2022 at UNITEN. Her research focus includes reservoir inflow forecasting and dam safety emergency response plan. She has been involved in various dam safety-related projects such as reservoir inflow forecasting, dam break studies, risk-informed decision making and Emergency Response Plans (ERP). She has experience conducting drill and tabletop exercises with dam personnel and government agencies. She is also involved in flood-related projects such as flood forecasting and warning system, and impact-based forecasting.
