Dr. Elizabeth Heagney is an adjunct lecturer at Southern Cross university and runs a research-focussed environmental consultancy, NatureCapital. Dr Heagney has more than 15 years’ experience working in environmental-economic research for the New South Wales Government. She has worked on fisheries and coastal-resource management programs in Australia, south-east Asia and the Pacific, and specialises in statistical and econometric analysis, policy and big data relevant to the management of fisheries and other natural resources. Her current research is interdisciplinary and focused on natural resource management, economic livelihoods, and community wellbeing.
