Dr Dong Suocheng is a leading professor of the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Science (IGSNRR, CAS), a leading professor of the University of CAS, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Physical Sciences, Director of Northeast Asia Sustainable Development Research Center. His research areas include the theory and practice of ecological economics, regionally sustainable and green development, and circular economy. He presided over 100 key research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, international cooperation of the ministries, and published over 360 academic papers and books, wrote over 40 important advisory reports that were approved and adopted by the State Council of China.
