DanLing Tang

South China Sea Institute of Oceanology Chinese Academy of Sciences

Dr DanLing TANG (Lingzis) is a Professor of South China Sea Institute of Oceanology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in China. She is an expert on remote sensing of marine ecosystems and the environment, working on Marine phytoplankton blooms. Professor Tang has serviced for a few international scientific organizations. Currently, she is the President of the Pan Ocean Remote Sensing Association (PORSEC), the President (elect) of PACON International, Councilor of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), and Vice-Chair of Committee on Space Research (COASPAR) ‐A2. For her scientific achievements and contribution, she was award “Zayed Award Diploma” (2006, UNEP), and “Ocean Service Awards” (2007 International PACON), “100 Talents Program” (2004, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Distinguishing Member Award”(2014, PACON).
