Professor Chang Hyun Kang is an expert in public policy and social services at Dankook University’s Department of Public Policy in South Korea. Holding a PhD in Public Administration from Yonsei University (2001), his research spans governance, social service delivery systems, and international health/safety projects. Professor Kang has developed significant global perspectives through extensive international engagements: as a KRF Fellow at the University of Birmingham’s Institute of Applied Social Studies, Visiting Scholar at Johns Hopkins University and Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), and Visiting Researcher at Kyoto University’s Disaster Prevention Research Institute (2019). His recent publications investigate adolescent suicide risk, elderly health linkages, and community-based safety frameworks. Currently expanding his research into disaster prevention collaboration with Japan, he contributes to academic discourse on health policy and community resilience from his base in Cheonan, South Korea.
