Carolyn Melissa Payus

Dr Carolyn Payus (Carolyn) is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science & Natural Resources, University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She has been involved highly in research at the international level on climate change and atmospheric sciences which includes as Research Fellows at the University of Tokyo and United Nations University (UNU-IAS) Tokyo, Japan, and also as visiting scholar to many countries such as Ireland, the UK, South Africa, America, South America, including most part of Asia regions. She also has represented the Japanese delegation under the Tokyo United Nations University (UNU), UNEP and UND, for UN Climate Change Conference (COP). At the same time, she has published various scientific papers in many indexed journals, published 3-books, and has won 1-Gold, 1-Silver and 4-Bronze Medals for her research innovations achievements from various international levels competitions. Apart from that, she has also known to have numerous International Research Grants and Collaborations internationally including from the Asia-Pacific region (Asia-Pacific Network APN Research Grant), Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) dan Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), Newton Fund to Royal Society of London.
