A co-recipient of UN (United Nations) Habitat Golden Award for the year 2019. Consistently working with forest dwelling tribal communities of Western Ghats and Indigenous communities for the last 30years. His work is spread across six districts of Karnataka on the issues of identity, nature and environment, livelihood, education, and health, apart from forest rights, land rights displacement.  He has been an advocate of natural and organic agriculture.
