From 2015, the International Project Office (IPO) of IGBP’s land-atmosphere project iLEAPS is operating in Nanjing, China.

iLEAPS is a core project of IGBP/Future Earth with the purpose of encouraging and fostering high-quality research on the interaction between land, ecosystem and the atmosphere. A scientific steering committee composed of experienced and highly recognised scientists from all continents of the world identifying the most urgent research needs and discussing with its science community through workshops, facilitating and supporting initiatives along the science plan to develop cutting edge research in all parts of the world. The development of iLEAPS and its science is done in close cooperation with the other core projects with the umbrella organisation IGBP/Future Earth. This work and outreach is facilitated with its Project office.
