The Chair of Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services (IPBES) in a letter dated 6 May 2015 has called for nominations of fellows for the IPBES young fellows pilot programme. Fellows may participate in: (1) the regional and sub-regional assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services (Deliverable 2b) or (2) the thematic assessment of land degradation and restoration (Deliverable 3bi). Interested fellows (nominees) are requested to fill out their application online no later than 31 May 2015. Nominators (organisations/institutions) should submit approved applications by 5 June 2015. All necessary information related to the nomination procedure can be found in the letter and in the application form.
Nominated and selected fellows should refer to the guideline with further information on the pilot programme, including modalities, selection criteria, time commitment and availability of support. The guideline also presents the scope, rationale and chapter outline of the assessments in question.
