APN invites participants of the 6th APAN Forum to join the APN-organized session “The role of science tools and indigenous knowledge practices to enhance community resilience in select areas in Asia”, to be held on 17 October 2018 from 11:00-12:30 in Manila, Philippines.
Under the stream of Resilience of Human and Social Systems and drawing on cases at local levels, this APN session will discuss the role of science tools and indigenous knowledge practices to enhance community resilience in select areas in South and Southeast Asia. With relevance to planning and processes, technologies and practices, and science and assessment, the session will focus around the general expertise of the participants in enhancing resilience and adaptive capacity in the context of human and social systems. In the discussions, experts will briefly draw on related activities they have undertaken in collaboration with APN.
