APN joins “Our Common Future Under Climate Change” in Paris, UNESCO

7 July 2015, Paris, France — APN, represented by Dr. Linda Anne Stevenson, Division Head of APN’s Communication and Scientific Affairs, joined thousands of global change researchers, scientists, and climate change policy- and decision-makers, gathered today at the opening day of “Our Common Future Under Climate Change,” a major international scientific conference in the COP21 perspective.

Building on the findings of IPCC AR5 (5th Assessment Report), the international scientific conference aims to present updated knowledge and address key issues concerning climate change in the broader context of global change.

At the icebreaker event held at UNESCO Headquarters yesterday, APN met with former and current project leaders: Dr. Mukand Babel, School of Engineering and Technology, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT); Dr. Shobhakar Dhakal, School of Environment, Resources and Development, AIT; Dr. Kanayathu Chacko Koshy, Centre for Global Sustainability Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia; and Dr. Louis Lebel, Unit for Social and Environmental Research, Chiang Mai University (photo below).
