4 August 2015, Bogor, Indonesia — APN participated at the “International Workshop on Land Use/Cover Changes and Air Pollution in Asia: Impacts of Land Cover/Land Use Changes on Greenhouse Gases/ Short-Lived Climate Pollutants and Aerosols” (website), currently being held in Bogor, Indonesia from 4 to 7 August 2015.

Dr. Erna Sri Adiningsih, representing the APN, delivered a presentation on 20 years of APN’s achievement particularly on supporting research and capacity development in the fields of land use/land cover changes and air quality. Approximately 120 scientists from Asian countries attended and shared scientific results and experiences related to land use/cover changes and air pollution in Asia.

The workshop was organised by Global Observation of Forest and Land Cover Dynamics (GOFC-GOLD), University of Maryland College Park, National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), NASA Land-Cover/Land-Use Change Program (NASA LCLUC) and START, and hosted by Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia.
