A global summit on just transition was organized by SLYCAN Trust on 3-4 December 2020. The summit aimed to enhance the understanding of the concept of just transition and its inclusion in climate action at all levels.
APN contributed to the discussion by sharing examples of recent APN-funded work at the grassroots level, including improving women’s access to climate information in India; appraising slow-onset hazards in the Kanan Watershed of the Philippines; easy-to-use assessment tools for communities in Cambodia; public-private partnerships for herder communities in Mongolia.
