Satoyama International Forum

APN will hold the “Satoyama International Forum” on 28 September 2025 as follows:

This forum will highlight the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Kurokawa area in Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, often described as one of Japan’s most outstanding satoyama landscapes, together with community-based efforts supporting its preservation. It will also introduce case studies of the practical application of the Regional Circulating and Ecological Sphere (R-CES) concept in South and Southeast Asia. Join us in reflecting on ways of living in harmony with nature and exploring pathways towards creating a more sustainable society.
