Event background:
APN, in collaboration with Hyogo Prefectural Government, Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Hyogo Safety Day Promotion Council, and Graduate School of Disaster Resilience and Governance, University of Hyogo will hold the “Climate Change × Disaster Reduction Forum” as follows.
- It has been 30 years since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Why not take this opportunity to think about the environment and disaster prevention? Due to climate change, disasters are becoming larger and more frequent. This is why the actions of each and every one of us are important in protecting the future.
- This forum will focus on the theme of “disaster waste” and consider sustainable disaster prevention and reconstruction based on the principles of the SDGs, such as preparations that can be made in daily life and recycling waste in the event of a disaster.
Let’s learn together how to utilize the experience and lessons learned from the earthquake for the future. We look forward to your participation!
