RIHN 18th International Symposium Re‐thinking “Policies” in Transdisciplinary Research

Transdisciplinary Research by collaborating with society at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature  (RIHN) has made significant achievements. It has made it possible for RIHN to collaborate in various ways with various actors towards solving global environmental problems, and its significance has been shared in the current Research Programs. Transformations in the level of companies, local areas and individuals are important to solve global environmental problems, where the role of public institutions are immense. In many cases, the presence or absence of a policy has the greatest impact on the final social impact.

Therefore, the RIHN 18th International Symposium Re‐thinking “Policies” in Transdisciplinary Research aims to contribute to the further development of transdisciplinary research in the current Research Programs at RIHN and will once again hold a comprehensive discussion focusing on “policy” in global environmental issues.

Themes:

  • Policies and Academic Community: “Cultural Exchange” between Policy Makers and Academics
  • Policies and Regions: Towards Building New Complementariness
  • Multi-layers in Policies (International organizations, national governments, local governments): Understanding “Ecology” of Actors in Policy-making
