The Interdisciplinary Studies Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM) at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) is organizing the Third International Conference on Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM 2021).
With the theme “Advancing Ecosystems Restoration, Resilience and Sustainable Development through INREM,” the conference will be gathering academics, researchers, and practitioners from Southeast Asia, Europe, and America in plenary talks, workshops, parallel sessions, and poster presentations to share their knowledge and experiences on mainstreaming INREM in local governance and sustainable development.
Objectives
- Facilitate sharing of ideas and experiences on ecosystem restoration, resilience-building and sustainable development of natural resources in the Asia-Pacific region;
- Synthesize knowledge on integrated natural resources and environment management (INREM) of lake and river basins, landscapes and seascapes, small islands, and rural-urban areas and their interrelationships; and
- Establish networks and Communities of Practice on INREM in the Asia-Pacific region.
