Exploring Transdisciplinary Research Methods for Understanding Circular Migration & Climate Mobility

This presentation, entitled “Exploring Transdisciplinary Research Methods for Understanding Circular Migration & Climate Mobility,” was presented by Renata Varea at the 4th Pacific Oceans Pacific Climate Change Conference (POPCCC) in Apia, 21-23 May 2024.

Varea emphasises the numerous challenges in examining the potential of short-distance and short-duration movements as adaptive strategies to respond to sever climate risks in Fiji and Samoa. Such obstacles include communication barriers, resource allocation, and data integration. Thus, well-planned transdisciplinary methods allow for a holistic view of complex climate issues by combining insights that complement each other.
