Dr Carmen Or joined WWF-Hong Kong in 2017 and currently leads the research and monitoring programme at Mai Po Nature Reserve, providing scientific guidance for habitat management and conservation planning. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Hong Kong, where her research focused on the locally threatened Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin in the Pearl River Estuary. With broad experience across multiple species and ecosystems. Dr Or is also a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission’s Otter Specialist Group.
