[Report] Strengthening Urban Climate Resilience through Grassroots Action: Highlights from the APN-CaBUNA Pilot Stakeholder Meeting in Ningbo

On 19 June 2025, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China hosted a stakeholder round-table for the Olive Green – He Yi Agricultural Innovation Garden, under the CaBUNA project supported by APN. The event brought together representatives from academia, local government, community groups, veterans, and social organisations to advance collaborative governance and sustainable development for the He Yi Garden. Discussions focused on fostering cohesion, vitality, and impact, with participants agreeing to establish an inclusive coordination mechanism and ongoing communication channels. The Garden, once an unmanaged area, has become a model of grassroots innovation through active civic engagement and ecological restoration. This meeting marks a key step in aligning academic expertise with community-driven efforts, supporting the Garden’s transformation into a living demonstration of urban resilience and participatory governance.
