Ryo Kohsaka is a Professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on biodiversity, nature-positive approaches, forest and landscape governance, ecosystem services and nature-based solutions, including mangroves and blue carbon. He has contributed to international biodiversity policy processes, including IPBES and the Convention on Biological Diversity. Most recently, he was featured on UNDP Asia and the Pacific’s The Nature Pledge podcast, discussing business and biodiversity and the particular challenges and opportunities for the Asia-Pacific region.
