The Integrated Marine Biosphere Research (IMBeR) is calling abstracts for its fifth IMBIZO: Marine biosphere research for a sustainable ocean: Linking ecosystems, future states and resource management, which is partly sponsored by APN.
The meeting will consist of three concurrent but interacting workshops, with joint plenary and poster sessions:
- Critical constraints on future projections of marine systems (co-Chairs: Laurent Bopp and Eric Galbraith)
- Metabolic diversity and evolution in marine biogeochemical cycling and ocean ecosystem processes (co-Chairs: Gerhard Herndl and Tatiana Rynearson)
- Management Strategy Evaluation: Achieving transparency in natural resource management by quantitatively bridging social and natural science uncertainties (co-Chairs: Ingrid van Putten and Cisco Werner)
Early career scientists/ researchers from developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region are particularly invited to submit the abstract to the IMBIZO 5 under APN’s sponsorship.
