Research Background
Coastal communities are increasingly exposed to climate variability and disaster risks. However, global frameworks such as Nature-based Solutions (NbS) often remain insufficiently translated  into locally actionable practices. This creates a severe “Blue Gap“ a communication barrier between scientific knowledge and local community engagement.

Climate information often remains inaccessible to local communities, limiting participation in disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation.

Research Objectives
1. To examine the communication gap between climate information and local coastal practices.
2. To develop a media-based participation model to support disaster risk reduction (DRR) in Thong Tom Yai, Chumphon, Thailand.
3. To explore how science-based creative media can support communitydialogue, co-design, and local decision-making.
