Research fellow at the Laboratory of Forest Landscape Planning and Design, the University of Tokyo. She obtained her doctoral degree at the Graduate School of Science, Chiba University. She mainly analyzes vegetation using GIS and remote sensing techniques. She has experience in field survey  and monitoring grasslands in arid Asia, estimating the yield of Indonesian paddy rice and mangrove monitoring by satellite image analysis.
