Mr Xayalack Lasy is the Head of Forestry Academy under Luang Prabang Provicial of Agriculture and Forestry Office, Laos. He is also Deputy head of Laos Landscapes and Livelihoods Project in Luang Prabang Provice. He obtained his Bachelors degree in Viet Nam in 2014 and completed an internship at Tsinghua University, Taiwan in 2015. During his early career, he has participated in many projects related to conservation and protection of natural forests in Luang Prabang Provice. The projects focus on improving the livelihood of local people by supporting poor households turning to livestock farming, handicrafts and other activities instead of deforestation.
