Wenjie Dong

Dean, School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University

Wenjie Dong is Professor of Climatology in the School of Atmospheric Science, Sun Yat-sen University. He works on climate dynamics, climate change, and the interaction between market economy and climate change. Dr Dong is currently Dean of School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, Secretary-General of the Chinese National Committee for Future Earth (CNC-FE) and the Working Group for United Nations Environment Consultation of China Association for Science and Technology (WGUNEC-CAST), and Chief Scientist for National Basic Research Program and National Key Research and Development Program of China. Having published over 300 refereed scientific articles, he was the main author of the Fifth Assessment Report of IPCC, the 1.5 Degree Special Report, and the first to third China’s National Assessment Reports on Climate Change.
