Vivien How is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Her expertise spans environmental health, climate-related health risks, and environmental and occupational exposure assessment. Her research examines heat exposure, physiological strain, and environmental inequalities affecting vulnerable urban and rural populations. She is a registered Chemical Health Risk Assessor with Malaysia’s Department of Occupational Safety and Health and a registered Environmental Health Officer with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council. She combines research and professional practice to assess environmental risks and inform public health protection.
