Mr Vineil Narayan has seven years of experience working in national economic planning, national budget programming and economic and climate policy development. Currently, he is the Acting Head of Climate Change & International Cooperation through which he is in charge of coordinating Fiji’s domestic climate action, international climate commitments and cooperation with key development partners to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. He is also working as the Climate Finance Specialist on a full-time basis with the Climate Change Division and is in charge of enhancing the nexus between finance and climate change through incorporating climate finance into national budgetary planning/processes and performing strategic analysis of existing and potential sources of climate finance. Mr Narayan represents the Fijian Government at international climate negotiations on matters related to climate finance. Furthermore, he has worked on developing numerous sectorial and national level plans, policies, frameworks and strategies as a proud civil servant of Fiji.
