Dr V. Davamani is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, India. He has two years of industry experience as a Landscape Engineer in Kuwait. He has taught over forty undergraduate and eighteen postgraduate courses, mentored three undergraduate project batches, and supervised 4 Ph.D. students, one of whom received both Commonwealth and Inspire Fellowships. His primary research themes are climate change and heavy metals, with successful project funding totalling INR 1.2 crore from government and private agencies. He is the recipient of several awards, including Best Trainee (ICAR-NRCSS), Young Scientist of the Year 2015, Best Environmentalist Award (GNRSA 2020), and multiple best presentation awards at national and international conferences. He has contributed to the Doubling Farmers Income programme and helped organize major international Clean-Up conferences. A prolific author, Dr. Davamni has published eight books, forty book chapters, and twenty-two research articles in leading journals from ACS, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, and Springer.
