Dr Utpal Kumar Das is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Aquatic Environment Management, Faculty of Fisheries Science, Assam Agricultural University, Raha, Nagaon, Assam, India. He earned his M.F.Sc and PhD degrees in Aquatic Environment Management from West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Dr Das is involved in river ecology and fish biodiversity studies for the last 10 years. At present, he is involved as a co-investigator in two research projects.
